Everybody loves a good before and after—professional interior designers included! With that said, we’re thrilled to be sharing one of our favorite recent transformations with you today.
When we were first called onto the scene, this Palmetto Bluff home was worn, dark, and filled with outdated furnishings. The good news? The home had gorgeous antique heart pine flooring and some beautiful high-quality area rugs—true diamonds in the rough!
We decided to keep the rugs, and used them as our inspiration when selecting the color palette and new decor for each room. Many other changes were made throughout the interior of the home, though, including lightening the wall and trim color, repainting the kitchen cabinetry in Pure White, adding color to the walls in the two master suites and media room, and installing new furnishings and decor throughout.
Since the owner had intentions to turn this home into a luxury rental property in Palmetto Bluff’s Montage Residence program, we were given free reign in regard to the overall design. That doesn’t always happen, but when it does, we embrace the opportunity to flex our creativity! The British West Indies aesthetic inspired our overall design, as evidenced by selections including dark woods, varying shades of white and cream strategically contrasted by strong colors, and the incorporation of chinoiserie pottery and gold-toned lighting. To keep this rental home feeling coastal (it is located in Palmetto Bluff, after all!) we also incorporated oyster shell decor and coastal art.
The finished product feels warm, rich, elegant, and inviting. This home is sure to be a favorite of its many guests! To see even MORE before and after photos from this project, stop by our design gallery.
