Elegant Neutral

When this Palmetto Bluff client presented us with a multi-home design challenge, Lead Designer Brittani Swearingen rose to the occasion! The homeowners needed to move into this home as soon as possible, but wanted furnishings that would work well in a second under-construction home as well. By carefully selecting mostly neutral, in-stock furniture from local retailers, and ordering a few key pieces from Grace Home Decor to fill in the gaps, we were able to create a beautiful and cohesive look appropriate for both homes. Highlighting the client's refined taste and love of whites and subdued decor, we chose dramatically scaled yet timeless pieces that spoke to the architecture of their current home. Some of our favorite design elements are the use of two cocktail tables in the living room to accommodate a larger seating area while still feeling intimate, the styling of the large built-in bookcases which feature creatively-installed art, and the beautiful grasscloth wallpaper we added to the vestibule between the entry and dining room. Thanks to dramatic yet visually quiet backsplash tile, which was selected by the builder, the kitchen has a luxurious feel. We selected barstools and styled the glass front cabinets in the kitchen to coordinate and enhance the glam ambience. Overall, this home feels grand, cozy, elegant, and stylish. The best news, of course, is that our client is thrilled—especially because these beautiful selections will work perfectly in her newly-built custom home as well!
