Welcome to the most wonderful time of the year! There are so many things that make this season a special one, but as interior designers, we always look forward to creating a warm, inviting home that’s ready to welcome family and friends.
Traditional decor—a Christmas tree, glittering garlands, and twinkling lights—is always fun, but there are also plenty of ways to give a nod to the season while ensuring that your seasonal decor remains relevant after the holidays.

Layering in fresh pillows and textured throw blankets creates a cozy cocoon effect perfect for cooler temperatures. In terms of color palettes, you can never go wrong with silver and blue! Winter whites and a pop of red also pair nicely with our coastal color schemes here in the Lowcountry, while gold accents, greenery, and deeper burgundy hues work well in homes with traditional decor and warmer color palettes. Pattern-wise, tartan adds an air of festivity without looking too thematic.
