When our clients contacted us for design help in their gorgeous new lakeside home in Hampton Lake, they told a story that we hear very frequently: the furniture and accessories they had brought with them from their previous home in the North no longer seemed to “fit” with their new Lowcountry lifestyle! Rich wood flooring, coastal lighting and paint colors, and a functional open floor plan created a beautiful foundation. This client presented us with a creative challenge: they wanted a bar to store bottles and glassware that "didn’t look like a bar.” Our solution: a gray wood console cabinet positioned behind the sofa—perfect for hiding everything away, and easily accessible to the kitchen and the outdoors. Speaking of the outdoors, we opted to angle the outdoor seating for interest and to capture their amazing view! It is so tranquil looking out at the water, and this arrangement allows our clients to enjoy it to the fullest. Within our client's budget, we transformed her home from outdated and disjointed, to current, coastal, and cohesive.
